UT News Service | Imphal, Aug 13: Manipur reported 130 fresh cases of COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, to take the tally to 4112 in Manipur. The newly confirmed cases included 91 locals and 39 Central security personnel, the common control room said in a press release.
Of the fresh cases, 87 of them have no significant travel history and the rest four are returnees.
Meanwhile, the state has 1804 active cases of COVID-19 out of which 763 are CAPF personnel.
The update of the control room also said that 64 persons were discharged on Thursday after they were found negative for the virus during the latest RT PCR test. With this report, the total number of recovered cases in the state has reached 2295 including 172 CAPF personnel. The recovery rate in the state stands at 55.81 percent.
The status update on COVID-19 of the state Health department showed that the 130 fresh cases were detected during testing of 1,670 samples during the last 24 hours (from 5 pm of August 12 to 5 pm of August 13).
Manipur has tested altogether 1,07,469 samples.
