Manipur reports 91 fresh COVID-19 cases

UT News Service | IMPHAL, July 18: Manipur recorded 91 fresh cases of COVID-19 on Saturday.

A report of the COVID-19 Common Control Room said that 91 fresh cases of the disease were detected in the last 24 hours.
With this update, the total number of persons infected by COVID-19 in the State rose to 1891.

During the same period, 19 persons were discharged after they were found COVID-19 free during RT PCR test, taking the tally of recovered cases to 1182 recovered. The recovery rate is 62.50%, the report said.

Kangpokpi district recorded the highest number of new cases with 63.
They were being shifted to the nearest Covid care facilities. All necessary precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing were in place, the report said.
