Manipur reports one COVID-19 case in 24 hours

Seven recoveries against one new case pushed down COVID-19 active cases in Manipur to 64 on Thursday.

As per the daily update report of the state Health department, one person from the general population was confirmed as a new COVID-19 positive case in the state in the past 24 hours (till 4pm of April 1).

The lone positive case is from Imphal West district and his test results turned out to be confirmed as 942 samples were tested for the coronavirus during the past 24 hours.

The number of samples tested in the state reached 5,77,082.

There was no report of death due to the viral disease in the state in the past 24 hour. As such, the fatality tally remained at 374.

Seven patients were discharged today upon recovery taking the total number of recoveries to 28,963 against the total infection of 25,957 including the one fresh case reported today.

A total of 64 active cases were currently treating at Covid care units of different hospitals and the recovery rate of the state stood at 98.51%.

Only 287 people were vaccinated today, taking the total number of people vaccinated against COVID-19 in the state to 86,331 including 31,613 healthcare workers.
