The team concluded their inspection by visiting the Heritage Centre, Vangayan, Shirui village—the main venue for the festival. The team checked the construction of the greenroom, vehicle parking space, and the approach road from the locality to the Heritage Centre. They also inspected the construction of a connecting road from Langdang–Chaoithar–Ukhrul, which will serve as an alternate route to ease traffic movement during the festival.

Tourism Director of Manipur, Pooja Elangbam (IAS), speaking to this correspondent, stated, “We are inspecting all the sites for Shirui Lily Festival 2025. We can see that preparations are underway, and we are trying to see what we can get done as soon as possible. We are quite happy with the progress so far, and we hope that people will come out in large numbers and celebrate the festival of harmony and unity. Let us show our warm hospitality to the rest of the world. We are expecting visitors from other parts of India and the world to be a part of the celebration of Shirui Lily, which is a very rare and endangered flower of Manipur. Let this celebration also spread awareness on eco-tourism, sustainability, and preservation of our environment.”

The team also had a closed-door meeting with Tangkhul CSOs and other stakeholders at the Ukhrul DC Conference Hall. The Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul, Asish Das (IAS); Executive Engineer of PWD Ukhrul, Garnish Kashung; Executive Engineer of PHED Ukhrul, Themreishang Marei; and DGM of MSPDCL Ukhrul, Akui L. Shimray, accompanied the visiting team during the inspection tour.
