Ukhrul, May 12: A multilingual indie-folk alternative band formed in Trivandrum, Kerala in 2016, When Chai Met Toast will hit the ShiRock stage on 20 May 2025.

The band is known for their happy and lighthearted music, which they create in English and Hindi, sometimes featuring Tamil and Malayalam lyrics.

Band members:
Ashwin Gopakumar – Vocals
Achyuth Jaigopal – Guitar and Banjo
Palee Francis – Keyboard and Producer
Pai Sailesh – Drums and Percussions

President of 7 Sisters Foundation, Sunny Shimrah, informed that “new bands are joining the already electrifying ShiRock 2025 line-up. Unfortunately, we also regret to inform you that Orphaned Land will not be performing at ShiRock 2025 due to the ongoing situation in their home country. Our thoughts are with them, and we hope to welcome them to the ShiRock stage in the future. Nevertheless, the show goes on, and it’s getting even louder.”

The other bands who will be performing on the first night include Rain in Sahara from Bengaluru, Gingerfeet from Kolkata, Divine Connection from Nagaland, and Magdalene from Mizoram.
