In a true testament to grit, hard work and dedication, the students belonging to Martial Arts Taekwondo Club, Chandel district performed exceptionally well against all odds. The medals didn’t come easy for these boys and girls. From running pillar to pillar for arranging funds for the tournament to few children dropping out due to extensive trainings, coach Teresa’s commitment and sacrifice has borne fruits. Despite the immense potential and interest in the young children, Chandel district lags in sponsorship and assistance from the authorities, civil society organizations and sports lovers. This victory augurs well for the improvement of sporting infrastructures, investments in sportspersons and further support for Taekwondo in the district.

The coach Teresa and her team of winners for this incredible achievement has made the entire state of Manipur and Chandel in particular, proud and grateful.
