The Maring Uparap Assembly (MUA) while condemning the March 29 incident of burning down of houses, farm houses and reserved areas by Andro villagers said “it is very unfortunate to see such incident while the government is taking up various initiatives like “Go To Hills”, “Go To Villages” to root out the mistrust and misunderstanding among various communities of the state.”

MUA expressing shock over the recent incident between the Sandangsenba Maring village and Andro village said, “since time immemorial the Hill people and the valley people, are living together in peace, love and unity.”

The press release issued on Wednesday thanked the good will mission teams of Hills and Valley CSOs who visited Sandangsenba Maring village and requested the issue to be resolved at the earliest.

MUA also appealed the state government to intervene for amicable solution.
