Kohima, May 24: The Naga People’s Front (NPF) meeting of Central Office Bearers (COB) was held today at its central office, Kohima.

The resolution
The Central Office Bearers (COB) of the Naga People’s Front along with its Special Invitees deliberated upon the General Convention and the following Resolutions were unanimously adopted:

The House put on record the effort put in by all the Central Office Bearers (COB), Division Office Bearers and Area Units in the February 2023 Assembly Election in Nagaland. The house also acknowledged the logistic support rendered by the NPF Manipur State Unit during the Assembly Election in Nagaland.
The House while congratulating the MLA, Kuzholuzo Azo Nienu and Achumbemo Kikon for this victory in the 2023 Assembly Election, appreciates all the NPF Official Candidates who have fought till the last despite all odds.

The House decided to propose the General Convention which is due in November 2024 to October 21st 2023 at Kohima.

The House endorsed the Party President to constitute the Election Board for Central as convention. 

Resolved the Working Committee as Finance Committee for the proposed General Convention.

The House decided to invite 2000 Active Members for the General Convention drawn from all the Division and State Unit.

The House urged upon the GOI and the NSCN (IM) and NNPGs to expedite the political dialogue and bring to a logical conclusion.

Resolution Committee: Includes; Tsumongo Ovung, Sr. Vice President as the Convenor; the members were; Blaise Iheilung, Sr. Vice President, Kruzakie Kelio, Sr. Vice President, Anungba Imsong, Vice President and Rukkimong, General Secretary. Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu, NPF president;  Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu MLA and Leader NPF Legislature Party and Achumbemo Kikon, MLA also NPF secretary general addressed the gathering.

The meeting was chaired by NPF working president Pusazo Luruo while the welcome address was delivered by NPF general secretary Toniho Sheqi and the Vote of thanks was proposed by NPF vice president Khongjah Konyak.
