Meghalaya, Assam police hold meet for peace on disputed border

In a bid to maintain peace and tranquillity in the disputed border region between Assam and Meghalaya, the Ri-Bhoi police of Meghalaya and their counterparts from West Karbi Anglong of Assam held a meeting yesterday in Sabuda village, Ri-Bhoi, to discuss ways and means to maintain peace along the border.

The meeting was attended by senior police officers of both districts who also discussed how to improve coordination between the two forces in order to combat crime and deal with anti-social elements.
