Senapati: On the eve of Good Friday, Awangbow Newmai, minister, Water Resources, Relief & Disaster Management, Government of Manipur greeted the Christian community a blessed Good Friday.

The minister stated that crucifixion day of Jesus is termed as “Good Friday or Holy Friday” which is a day for commemorating the great sacrifices of Lord Jesus who gave His life to save the world from sins. His death is an example of the ultimate sacrifice and unconditional love.

While wishing everyone a blessed Good Friday, the minister also prays that may the spirit of this auspicious day renew the life with inspiration and new hope to follow the path of truth and redemption.

Chief minister N Biren Singh also greeted people of Manipur especially Christians in the State a on the auspicious occasion of Good Friday.

N Biren in his greetings wrote, “Let us resolve to stand together to eradicate violence and hatred from society. Let us also dedicate ourselves in the service of the weak and downtrodden”.

The newly elected Hills Areas Committee chairman, Dipu Gangmei also extended his heartfelt Good Friday greetings to all the Christian brethren.
