MLA Kimneo Hangshing Visits Families of 14 Kuki Hostages, Extends Support

UKHRUL: The Saikul constituency’s member of legislative assembly Kimneo Hangshing visited Taphou Village, Senapati on Wednesday to share words of encouragement and distribute daily necessities to the families of the 14 Kuki hostages.

Hangshing expressed deep concern for those being held hostage and affirmed on efforts being made to release them. According to Hangshing the youths are blameless and only being held hostage because they belong to the Kuki community. She urged the families to stay hopeful.

Hangshing also provided essential elements such as rice, dal and potatoes. As a sign of solidarity with their pain and struggle, she joined the families for a short sit-in protest.
