Imphal: The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has strongly condemned the summoning of its president K Meghachandra by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The MPCC said it was a “politics of vendetta”.
Addressing a press meet today at Congress Bhavan in Imphal’s BT Road, MPCC’s senior spokesperson N Bupenda Meitei said that Meghachandra, who is also an MLA, has been fearlessly exposing the failures of the “BJP’s double engine governments” in the Centre and in Manipur.

Terming the ED’s action as the politics of vendetta, vengeance, harassment and revenge, Bupendra alleged that it is an attempt to cover up the Union Government’s colossal failures in the state.
He also said that the Union Government’s failure has been reflected in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s refusal to visit Manipur since the crisis erupted here 17 months back.
