IMPHAL/UKHRUL: The Manipur State Co-operative Bank Ltd. (MSCB) on Saturday extended ₹92.23 lakh in credit support to 16 Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) under its Credit Linkage Programme, aimed at strengthening grassroots-level cooperative credit in the state.
The programme was held at the MSCB Head Office on Old Assembly Road, Imphal, bringing together officials of the Cooperative Department, NABARD, the bank and representatives of the beneficiary PACS.

The credit assistance is expected to help the 16 PACS strengthen their lending operations and improve access to institutional finance for their members, particularly those dependent on agriculture and allied activities.
The programme was graced by W. Ibohal Singh, Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Government of Manipur, as Chief Guest; Ramalingam Kasinathan, General Manager/OIC, NABARD, Regional Office, Imphal, as Guest of Honour; and P. Ranjit Singh, President, Board of Management, MSCB Ltd., as president.
The credit linkage initiative is part of efforts to strengthen the cooperative credit network by connecting PACS with formal banking support and enabling them to meet the financial needs of people at the grassroots.
