The credit assistance is expected to help the 16 PACS strengthen their lending operations and improve access to institutional finance for their members, particularly those dependent on agriculture and allied activities.

The programme was graced by W. Ibohal Singh, Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Government of Manipur, as Chief Guest; Ramalingam Kasinathan, General Manager/OIC, NABARD, Regional Office, Imphal, as Guest of Honour; and P. Ranjit Singh, President, Board of Management, MSCB Ltd., as president.

The credit linkage initiative is part of efforts to strengthen the cooperative credit network by connecting PACS with formal banking support and enabling them to meet the financial needs of people at the grassroots.
