SENAPATI, NOV 21: Mt. Everest College on Friday marked its 25th Silver Jubilee at the college auditorium in Senapati district under the theme “Inspiring Excellence.”
The jubilee monolith was dedicated in prayer by Rev. Dr. Kennedy Poumai, Principal of Manipur Theological College, Kangpokpi, and later unveiled in the presence of the chief guest, guest of honour, and special invitees from various tribal communities, along with the entire college fraternity.

The programme was graced by Sheikh Noorul Hassan, MLA Kshetrigao, who spoke on behalf of the chief guest, Thokchom Satyabrata, Speaker of the Manipur Legislative Assembly. Brigadier A.A. Ukidwe, SM, Commander 59 Mountain Brigade, attended as the guest of honour.
Addressing the gathering, Hassan stressed the importance of nurturing ideas among students, saying education should go beyond earning degrees and aim toward innovation, authenticity, and meaningful contribution to society. He urged young people to reflect on how ideas drive the engine of social progress.
Delivering the jubilee message, Rev. Dr. R.T. Johnson Raih, Pastor of Naga Christian Fellowship, Hyderabad, spoke on the spiritual journey of the institution and how Christ inspires excellence through forgiveness.

The celebration featured cultural performances by students from various tribes, showcasing unity in diversity. A special presentation titled “Dance for Peace” by the college’s cultural club was among the highlights of the event.
