Itanagar: Mountain Bike (MTB) Nyokum 2024 championship was held on Sunday organised by Itanagar Cycling Club under the aegis of Cycling Federation of Arunachal Pradesh and Arunachal Cycling Club at IG Trail, Indira Gandhi Park, Itanagar.

This year the format of the race was Cross Country Olympic (XCO).

Tajum Dere from Shi Yomi district won the MTB Nyokum 2024 championship.

Gumku David of Kraa Daadi district grabbed the second spot and Jokom Simon of Kamle district was adjudged the third position. 

The MTB Nyokum 2024 championship this year was organised to celebrate Nyokum Yullo, the traditional festival of Nyishi community of Arunachal Pradesh, to receive the blessings from goddess Nyokum for peace, prosperity and good health of all sentient beings, under the theme “ride for cultural identity”.
