Zunheboto, September 27: 15 Naga Political Groups, 33 Naga Tribal Hohos, and the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) adopted the Zunheboto Resolution, affirming their commitment to unity and a shared Naga future.

The resolution expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Angami Public Organization, Ao Senden, and the Sumi Hoho, along with their communities in Jotsoma, Ungma, and Zunheboto, for their warm welcome and generous hospitality. It specifically acknowledged the leadership of the Sumi Hoho President and Executive team for their steadfast efforts in guiding the Naga political path. The gathering also appreciated the Government of India for recognizing the uniqueness of Naga history and the people’s right to self-determination in line with their distinct identity.

The meeting emphasized that the Naga political journey belongs to every village, clan, and generation. All Naga civil and religious bodies were urged to unite under the Naga Machang, under the Council of Naga Cooperation and Relationship (CNCR). The resolution called on NPGs to join the Machang without delay and infuse it with renewed energy to pursue an inclusive solution for all Nagas.

Acknowledging the progress since the signing of the Covenant of Naga Reconciliation, the resolution stressed the need for genuine forgiveness among Naga Political Groups, Tribal Hohos, and all sections of Naga society. It stated that a shared Naga future is possible only through forgiveness, mutual respect, and cooperation, urging all parties to actively initiate reconciliation processes.
