Nagaland to go for statewide total lockdown from May 14 to May 21

A press statement from the High Powered Committee on Covid-19 announced a full lockdown in the whole state of Nagaland starting May 14, 6 PM till May 21, 2021 with the existing restrictions to continue till the lockdown is in place. A new SOPs will be issued.

Health and Family Welfare department have been asked to pursue aggressive testing, utilising the full testing capacity of the Covid-19 laboratories, the order said.

The meeting was held on Tuesday at the Chief Minister’s Residence complex, Khoima.

Essential services, including agricultural activities, construction activities (contractors and firms responsible for ensuring adherence of all SOPs for the workers) are exempted.

Government department will continue to function with a core team formed by the Heads of department.
