Nagaland to hold first assembly session on March 20; also to host G20 Business Summit in April

Kohima: The first assembly session of the new Nagaland legislative assembly will be held on March 20.

It can be noted here that the new Nagaland government headed by Neiphiu Rio was formed on March 7. It can also be mentioned here that Nagaland went to the assembly poll on February 27 and the counting was held on March 2. 

Neiphiu Rio became chief minister of Nagaland for the fifth time. He is now leading the NDPP-BJP coalition government.

Preparations are in full swing by the Nagaland government for the G20 Business Summit. The event will be held in Kohima on April 5, 2023.

According to chief secretary of Nagaland, J Alam, 80 to 100 delegates from various member countries of G20 are expected to participate in the April 5 summit.  

Meanwhile, a coordination meeting was held under the chairmanship of chief secretary of Nagaland, J Alam, on Monday in Kohima.

The chief secretary stated that Nagaland needs to showcase the best and called on the state government departments and all stakeholders to commit towards the success of the Business Summit. Alam reviewed the last meeting minutes and the progress made for the preparation.
