Nagaland to Host 22nd Commonwealth Parliamentary Association India Region Zone-ID Conference

Kohima, October 27: Nagaland is all set to host the 22nd Annual Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Zone-ID Conference. The Conference will be held in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly from November 9 to 13, 2025, under the theme “Policy, Progress & People: Legislatures as Catalysts of Change”.

The CPA India Region Zone-Ill series is a vital platform for the 8 Northeast States to discuss and find common solutions to regional challenges, covering topics from economic development to policy issues and developing a stronger, unified voice for the region.

Speaker of Lok Sabha, Om Birla, will be the Chief Patron and Neiphiu Rio, Chief Minister of Nagaland as the Vice Patron of the Conference. Sharingain Longkumer, Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly who is also the chairman of the CPA India Region Zone-Ill has extended his invitation to all the presiding officers of the Northeast Legislatures and dignitaries to attend the conference.

The event will showcase plenary sessions, expert panels, practical workshops, stall exhibition and cultural programmes that highlight legislative innovation, procedural reforms, transparency and inclusive governance across the region.
