Nagas in Cambodia Hold 19th Annual Meet

Imphal, April 15: The Nagas in Cambodia (NACAM) gathered for their 19th annual meet from April 12 to April 14 at the picturesque vKirirom Pine Resort, a renowned national park in Cambodia. “This event brought together 56 individuals, including seasoned missionaries, young adults, and children, for a time of bonding, encouragement, fellowship, and fun,” said a press release from the NACAM. The meet is an annual tradition where Nagas from various provinces come together during the Khmer New Year.

The gathering kicked off with a lively BBQ party on the first night. Participants enjoyed a feast while reconnecting with old friends and met new ones. Laughter and stories filled the air, and as the night ended, everyone retired to their tents, having enjoyed a fulfilling evening, it also said.

The following morning, the meet continued with a Sunday Fellowship. Heisuilungle Kikon, founder and director of Royal Seeds International School, delivered an inspiring message, challenging attendees to trust in the Lord and continue serving their God faithfully. The fellowship was followed by the Lord’s Supper, officiated by Gihuka Swu, a seasoned Naga missionary. To capture the moment, a group photo was taken with everyone dressed in their traditional attire.

One of the highlights of the retreat was the Homecoming Concert held on the final night. Hosted by the young missionary couple, Namchamwi Thiumai and Jenny Thiumai, the event featured a variety of performances, the NACAM added. The night began with a captivating choreography dance by the missionary kids, setting the tone for a series of melodious and energetic performances.
