Agartala, February 1: The ICFAI University hosted “Tarang Utsav”, the 38th Inter University North East Zone Youth Festival in collaboration with the Association of Indian Universities from 27th January to 31st January 2025. Since last 4 days, a hectic schedule of events like various categories under Music, Dance, Theatre, Drama, Literary, Fine Arts etc. 28 numbers of events were held in different stages of our University and a total 22 Universities including ICFAI University Tripura, a total of 802 participants have showcased their talents in various events of this Youth Festival.

Dr. Bala Lakhendra, Observer-AIU graced the valedictory program on 31st January,2025 as Chief Guest. Prof. (Dr.) Biplab Halder, the Vice Chancellor of the ICFAI University Tripura expressed his gratitude and excitement during the welcome  speech and said that the unforgettable experiences have been shared over those past few days. He also said that through this youth festival, it celebrated the talent, creativity, skills and unity of the youths. Dr. Deepak Mishra, the Technical Observer-AIU and Dr. A Ranganath, Registrar of the ICFAI University Tripura also graced the program. While addressing the gathering Dr. Bala Lakhendra presented the report of 38th Inter University North East Zone Youth Festival.

 After the valedictory program, results were declared and distributed prizes to the winning teams. Total 21 Jury Members from across the country judged at various events like One act Play, Mimicry, Quiz, Literary Events, Group & Solo Dance, Classical Vocal, Western Vocal, Folk Orchestra, Fine Arts respectively. Overall Gauhati University became Champion, Cotton University became 1st runner-up, Dibrugarh University 2nd, Manipur University 3rd and Assam Royal Global University became 4th runner-up respectively for the 38th Inter University North East Zone Youth Festival, 2025 of AIU. The ICFAI University Tripura and Association of Indian Universities expressed their heartiest thanks to all concerned for successful completion of the Festival. The Festival ended with a hope to conduct more such celebrations in future too.
