New Executives of NPO Led by Kuba Peter Take Charge on Saturday

Senapati, July 21: The new executives of the Naga People’s Organization (NPO), led by Kuba Peter as the new President, took charge on Saturday. The oath of secrecy was administered by A. Adani Khrasi, Chief Election Commissioner, NPO, in the presence of former executives and various tribe leaders at the NPO Conference Hall, Senapati.

In his speech, outgoing President Solomon Arow stated that the new team had been installed, quoting, “There is a time for everything.” While congratulating the new team, he expressed gratitude to the election commission for completing the election process on time. Arow urged the new team to take care of the NPO and the district in general. Emphasizing the motto “Service before self,” he asserted that there are no holidays when working in the district’s apex civil body, unlike government holidays. He also called on the new team to maintain good relationships with other CSOs of the hills and the valley and assured them of his assistance in any matter they may need in the future.

The new President, Kuba Peter, described the day as an important gathering, although small. He expressed gratitude to all the outgoing NPO executives for their efforts towards the welfare of the people during their tenure and assured to follow in their footsteps. President Kuba Peter stated that his intention in becoming President of the organization is to bring peace to the region. He also honored the other two Presidential candidates, assuring collaboration for the welfare of the organization and the district.

In his concluding remarks, RK. Aaron, a member of the election commission, NPO, expressed hope and prayed for peace and prosperity in the district under the new NPO team as they take charge.

All related files have been handed over to the new executives of the Naga People’s Organization (NPO).
