Chandel: Thanksgiving cum felicitation programme of Sanuw SS. Olish, MLA 41 Chandel (ST) Constituent Assembly was held at Monsang Pantha village community hall on Monday. Four tribes from Chandel district Monsang, Maring, Tangkhul and Khoibu felicitated the newly elected MLA 41-Chandel with thanksgiving prayer service.

During the programme, Upa Ts. Kothar, member central election committee gave a welcome and keynote address. Congratulatory message to the newly elected MLA 41-Chandel SS Olish was extended by Monsang civil society bodies namely Sirti Eruwng Ruh (SER), Sirti Thiimjiitam Sourkhe (STS), Sirti Sanuw Ruh (SSR). Leaders representing from Maring, Tangkhul and Khoibu tribe from Chandel district under 41- Constituent Assembly areas also extended a congratulatory and encouragement note. Sanuw Th. Tiningpham, Chairperson in-charge Manipur State Commission for Women also extended congratulatory message and treated this win a historic in many ways.

Short speech from Ts. Molarshing, election agent for SS. Olish, and Sanuw SS. Olish, MLA 41-Chandel and act of blessing by Rev. Alani Shongsir, Executive Secretary, MNBCA were the main highlights of the service.

SS Olish in her speech extended special appreciation to the organizing committee. She also expressed her profound gratitude to all the people cutting across various communities from Chandel district for supporting her in the recently concluded 12th Manipur Legislative Election 2022. “I came to say thank you all for your kind support. By the grace of God and through your support, I won the election and it is worth to thank the Lord together, she mentioned and concluded her speech with prayer and assurance of all possible support and stronger cooperation in coming days”.

The newly elected MLA 41-Chandel was presented with beautiful traditional shawls, kilts and cultural artifacts from the various tribes present during the programme. A public feast for all the attendees including dignitaries and well-wishers was held at the village public ground after the thanksgiving cum felicitation service.
