Kohima: Night curfew along Nagaland-Assam border in the Sivasagar district section continues.
An official report of the Nagaland government said today that the additional district magistrate (ADM) of Sivasagar, Assam, reinforces the night curfew from 6 pm to 6 am in the 5 km belt on the Assam side of Sivasagar district bordering Nagaland state with effect from January 25, 2023 for a period of 60 days.

“The administration of Sivasagar in an order said the night curfew has been imposed as a precautionary measure to prevent the occurrence of anti-social elements/extremist/unlawful activities coming across the Assam /Nagaland border in the belt of Sivasagar district,” a DIPR report of the Nagaland government said.
The administration of Sivasagar said movement of any person/ group of persons/any vehicular traffic has been prohibited during the period of night curfew.

However, magistrates, security personnel of the Army/CRPF/Police, and civil officials deployed on duty have been exempted from the purview of the prohibitory order.
