KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 13: The Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) has extended heartfelt congratulations to Niketu Iralu, fondly known to generations of Nagas as Uncle Niketu, on being conferred the International Lifetime Achiever Award in recognition of his lifelong commitment to peace and reconciliation across the world, and especially among the Nagas.

A household name and moral voice among the Naga people, Uncle Niketu has devoted over 65 years of his life to the global movement of Moral Re-Armament, now known as Initiatives of Change. Through this platform and beyond, he has remained a steadfast keeper of conscience, championing peace, justice, and human dignity with remarkable humility.

The Forum noted that this honour celebrates not only the award bestowed upon him, but also “the enduring legacy of a life lived in service to humanity.” Within the FNR, Uncle Niketu’s presence has been described as more than symbolic, a guiding force offering clarity, courage, and vision in the Forum’s Journey of Common Hope toward healing and unity.

“We give thanks for his life, his witness, and his wisdom. May his days continue to be filled with strength, peace, and the quiet joy of knowing that his life has been a blessing to many,” the FNR stated in its message of gratitude and prayer.
