Nine fresh COVID-19 cases reported in Manipur

Nine fresh cases of COVID-19 were reported in the testing 705 samples in the past 24 hours (till 4 pm of March 28) in Manipur, taking the infection tally of the state to 29,385 on Sunday.

During the same period, four persons were discharged upon recovery, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 28,948.

As the fresh cases reported in the past 24 hours exceeded the recovered cases, the active cases also rose to 63. The recovery rate also dipped to 98.51%, the report said.

Meanwhile, the cumulative number of people vaccinated against COVID-19 in the state rose to 85,714 as 611 people were inoculated on Sunday. The vaccinated people included 31,592 healthcare workers, the Health department added.
