No COVID-19 related death in Manipur in the past 24 hours

Manipur reported no COVID-19 related death during the last 24 hours (till 4 pm of December 13), even as the overall infection tally in the state rose to 27,155 with the detection of 119 fresh cases on Sunday.

The official daily COVID-19 status report of the state Health department showed no COVID-19 related death during the last 24 hours. As such, the fatality toll in the state stands at 322.

For the last five months, COVID-19 related deaths were reported almost daily, nine deaths on November 2 last being the highest number of single-day death in the state.

Meanwhile, as per the daily update, a total of 119 persons including two CAPF personnel were confirmed as fresh COVID-19 cases in the state during testing of 2,671 samples in the past 24 hours.

During the same period, 102 patients including one CAPF and 68 in home isolations were discharged after recovering from the disease.

The overall infection tally of the state stood at 27,155, out of which 23,759 were recoveries and 3,074 active cases. The recovery rate in the state is 87.49%.
