UKHRUL: The Naga Students Union Delhi (NSUD) along with student bodies from Northeast, convened a joint meeting at the Nagaland Guest House, R.K. Puram, New Delhi, to deliberate on coordinated legal and institutional responses arising out of the death of  Late Angel Chakma. The meeting took note of the proceedings of the NCST hearing held on January 6, wherein serious procedural and operational lapses on the part of the Uttarakhand Police were highlighted.

Deliberations focused on the demand for an independent CBI enquiry, enforcement of anti racial and anti discrimination laws, strengthening statutory protection mechanisms such as SPUNER across states, and the inclusion of Northeast history within the NCERT framework. The constitution of an Interim Committee with broad based representation was also discussed to ensure sustained follow up and accountability.
