Kohima: Naga People’s Front (NPF) has revoked the suspension order of K G Kenye, who is Rajya Sabha MP from Nagaland, from the party with immediate effect.
The Naga MP was suspended from both primary and active membership of the party on January 8, 2020 after public criticism for voting in favour of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
Revoking the suspension order today, NPF president Dr Shurhozelie said, “Now, I, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu, president of the Naga People’s Front in exercise of the powers conferred on me vide Clause 9 of the Article V read with Article XIV of the Party Constitution, the suspension of Shri K G Kenye, MP Rajya Sabha from the NPF is hereby revoked with immediate effect in the interest of the party”.
