In a statement issued by Theja Kire, Caretaker CAO on Monday, the group said the decision follows growing concerns over the sale of liquor, drug circulation, reports of extortion carried out in its name and cases of underage individuals being allowed into hotels, lodges, night discos and bars.
The directive places an immediate ban on the sale and supply of alcohol, possession or use of narcotic substances, and the accommodation of minors in any commercial lodging or nightlife establishment. It also warns that anyone imposing taxes or extorting money in the name of the NSCN/GPRN will face action under “Government Azha.”
