NSCN/GPRN Welcomes Eight ZUF (J) Cadres Under “Olive Branch Mission”

UKHRUL: The Zeilad Zeliangrong Region of the NSCN/GPRN on Friday announced the induction of eight members from the ZUF (J) group into its fold, describing the development as a positive step towards unity and reconciliation.

In a statement, the Zeilad Zeliangrong Region stated it “warmly welcomed” the eight individuals along with the arms and ammunition surrendered by them. The organisation stated that it has long been anticipating the return of what it termed “right-thinking sons of the soil” under its peace-oriented initiative referred to as the “Olive Branch Mission.”

Reiterating its stated commitment to safeguarding the lives of young people, the group said it would continue its efforts to bring back those it considers to have been ‘misled’, and integrate them into what it described as the mainstream. The statement underlined that the organisation would remain firm in this approach, regardless of challenges.

According to the statement, the eight individuals who joined the NSCN/GPRN have been identified as Kariugan Kamei (Nungba Bazar), Gaikhuamguang (Nungba Bethany), Kukhampou Gangmei (Nungba Bethany), Pousingam Kamei (Nungba), Rangchui Pame (Old Nkio, Nagaland), William Sanglung (Jalukie, Nagaland), Ketangauchi Pame (Old Nkio, Nagaland), and Hopeson Ngaomei (Phalong).
