Dimapur: The National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN-IM) has expressed shock at the killing of Yumsen Matey, a former Congress legislator from West Khonsa, Arunachal Pradesh. “We abhor this kind of dastardly act whatever be the reason. In his death Nagas have lost a young dynamic leader,” the NSCN-IM said in a statement today.

The statement then said, “Ironically, resorting to political killing is not going to take us anywhere”. The NSCN-IM added, “Certainly, there is always a wide range of means to look into for resolving political conflicts or differences”.

The statement of the NSCN-IM then said the violent use of guns as a tool to settle political scores is going too far and against the rule of humanity.
