The Chakesang Region, Konyak Region, Lotha Region, Wung Tangkhul Region – the Central Administrative office, Pangmi region, Kuki Tribal Union regions reaffirmed support on its stand on Naga flag and constitution in the ongoing Indo-Naga peace talks being held at the capital, New Delhi.
The Kuki Tribal Union (KTU) at the Council Headquarters (CHQ), Hebron on the 25th September, 2020 reaffirmed historic Framework and inclusion of Naga flag and Yehzabo (constitution) for an honorable and acceptable political solution to the Nagas.
Agreement of 3rd August, 2015. President, Lh Paohao (Member, Steering Committee) presided the meeting.
Konyak region CAO, Phuae Konyak and secretary Mandao Konyak in a press statement said that, “since the inception of the Naga revolutionary movement, the Konyak being one of the major tribes among the Nagas has played its crucial role along with the rest of the Nagas in the freedom movement.” Konyak region caretaker said that “many elders and seniors bore the brunt of the outcome of the struggle and many gave their lives voluntarily for the cause of Naga struggle. Konyak communities were also left with a heavy yoke to bear the separation from one’s own blood brothers and sisters living on the other sides of the fence (stretching far to Arunachal, Assam, Myanmar and present Nagaland state), stated the release. Inspite of so many odds and events which have been witnessed with nothing concrete so far, the Konyak region will continue to uphold and firmly support the Framework Agreement.”
All the above mentioned NSCN/GPRN region headquarters reiterated the unflinching support to the Collective Leadership of NSCN and the talk team headed by the group’s Ato Kolonser Th Muivah who is als the chief Naga negotiator.
