NSCN (K) for full sovereignty from “foreign invaders”

The National Socialist Council of Nagaland – Khaplang (NSCN K) Yung Aung faction through its MIP on Wednesday issued a press statement on the seven decades old Naga political struggle by “foreign invaders” in which the Nagas are reeling under the brutality and bondage of the Indian military forces and intelligences under draconian law.

NSCN K pointed out arbitrary killings, unwarranted arrest of innocent Nagas, imprisonment, humans rights violations among others, saying that the International community is watching. It urged the world to condemn India’s hegemonic occupation in Western South East Asia (WESEA) region and Kashmir, and to help the indigenous people decide their own future.

The group also called out GOI saying the former’s latest statement about NSCN K “unlawful activities act” is a malicious allegations, calling India a “rouge nation” and terrorising the region with AFSPA, Disturbed Area Act, etc. It then categorically declared that “Naga political issue in not India’s internal or constitutional issue”. The group also added that India is “exploiting Naga political situation” to “create discord among the Nagas”.

NSCN K in the statement speculates that the Naga political talks will end no where and end in disaster, given India’s betrayal and insincerity in the past, blaming on India for the stalemate in the current peace talks with the “pro-talk groups”.

The group also made a strong statement saying the “Nagas themselves have lost their political wisdom” as the one important word, according to the group, SOVEREIGNITY was long been deleted, adding “having succumbed to India’s empty promises and threats”, and further adding “money and luxurious lifestyle” as beclouding the political visions.

Laying bare the decision for the Nagas to chose, when it comes to “full sovereignty” vs “dependency solution”, it said.

“NSCN/GPRN’s refusal to accept anything less than full sovereignty is well understood by the adversaries themselves” the group said. It also made it clear that they were capable of giving befitting response to its “enemy” till the goal is achieved.

“Continued love, and support of the Nagas”, “courage and patriotism of the brave Naga comrades and faith in God mattes most”, it ended.
