UKHRUL: The Naga Village Guard (NVG), Central Command, has issued a clarification regarding the reported confrontation between armed Kuki and Naga groups in Mullam and Sinakeithei areas in Ukhrul District, Manipur, today.

In their statement, the NVG refutes the claims made by the Kukis concerning reports of an attack on Mullam village by Tangkhul Naga volunteers. The NVG explained that the Naga Village Guards stationed between Sinakeithei and Sirarakhong, near Mullam, were on patrol this morning due to repeated attacks on Sinakeithei village. They also noted ongoing tactical movements by Kuki armed cadres under the Suspension of Operation (SoO) agreement.
