Only one COVID-19 case reported in Manipur

Only one person from the general population in Manipur was tested positive while testing 763 samples for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, to take the total infection in the state to 29,283 on Wednesday.

With the 763 samples tested in the past 24 hours (till 4pm of March 3), a total of 5,52,172 samples have been tested for COVID-19 in the state reached.

The only person who was confirmed as a new COVID-19 positive case was from Kakching district, the daily update report of the state Health Department said.

As no death reported in the last 24 hours, the COVID-19 fatality remained at 373, it added.
Of the total 29,283 infections, 28,878 were recovered cases as two more patients were discharged after they recovered from the viral infection on Wednesday.

The state has 32 active cases, of which one is CAPF personnel. The recovery rate of the state stood at 98.61%.

Meanwhile, a total of 3,473 people were vaccinated to take the total number of people inoculated against COVID-19 to 57,280. The beneficiaries included 29,942 healthcare workers.
