Parts of Tamenglong partially lifts containment orders: Shops can open from 5 AM – 12 PM

Containment orders placed in Tamenglong Ward No. 1-5 has been partially lifted. The order issued by District Magistrate, Armstrong Pame IAS, mentioned that contract tracing has been done in the mentioned areas and there has been no significant increase in Covid-19 positive cases. As well as considering the hardships being faced by the people due to the closure of shops and other economic activities, District Task Force gave an opinion for partial lifting of the containment zone.

Order mentioned that shops and other establishment including women’s market will be opened from 5 AM till 12 PM on daily basis on the basis that all Covid-19 SOPs and Covid Appropriate Behaviour are maintained.

However, exemption will be given to vehicle carrying essential commodities, State and National project within Town Area without movement of workers from Designated Site, home delivery service of essential commodities, medical institutions, people going for vaccination & child protection service, health care worker & front line worker on Covid-19 duty, employees of department carrying out essential service such as PHED, Power, Telecom Services, Fire Services and member of Press and Banking Services return limited staff from 10 AM to 2:30 PM, order said.

This order will be in effect from 27th May until further order, it added.
