Over 300 people availed themselves of the services during the day, receiving on-the-spot health check-ups, basic diagnostic screening, and expert medical advice. This initiative follows a similar camp organised by Peerless Hospital Guwahati at ICAR, Rani, on July 28, 2025, underscoring the hospital’s commitment to community outreach and preventive healthcare.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Pranab Barua said, “Peerless Hospital Guwahati is committed to bridging healthcare gaps in Assam and the Northeast. Such camps help us reach out directly to the community, raise awareness about early diagnosis, and ensure people have access to specialist care without barriers of cost or distance.”

Padmanabh Baruah, IPS, DCP West Guwahati, added, “It is heartening to see an institution like Peerless Hospital taking proactive steps to bring healthcare to the doorsteps of our people. Initiatives like this not only provide immediate medical aid but also inspire a culture of regular health check-ups, which is crucial for early detection and treatment. The ISBT is an ideal location for such a camp, as thousands of people pass through it every day, many of whom may have undiagnosed health issues that this free camp can help identify.”
