Guwahati, July 21: Peerless Hospital has officially opened its new super-speciality facility in Guwahati. The hospital was inaugurated today by Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma at a special ceremony held at the hospital’s premises in Ahom Gaon, near ISBT.

Known for over three decades of clinical excellence and ethical, patient-first care in Eastern India, Peerless Hospital is now bringing that same trusted legacy to Assam. The Guwahati facility aims to fill a crucial healthcare gap in the region, where many patients still travel to metro cities seeking treatment for serious conditions like cardiac, neurological, renal, and trauma-related ailments.

“Today marks a milestone for Peerless, bringing our 30-year legacy of ethical, patient-first care to Assam and the Northeast,” said Mr. Jayanta Roy, Managing Director of Peerless General Finance and Investment Company Ltd and Promoter of the Peerless Hospital Group. “We are inspired by the Hon’ble CM Himanta Biswa Sarma’s visionary leadership, Assam is emerging as a national model in healthcare, and we’re proud to be part of this journey.”

Starting with 100 beds and scaling up to 300 by 2026, Peerless Hospital Guwahati is equipped with advanced diagnostics, critical care, and specialties in cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, and more. The facility is designed to reduce the burden of long-distance travel for patients, especially those from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura, North Bengal, and even Bangladesh.
