Ukhrul: The Phungcham Village Authority and Phungcham Village Development Committee have expressed immense gratitude to chief minister N Biren Singh and minister Khashim Vashum (MLA 45-Chingai AC) for inclusion and laying the foundation stone for the construction of PHSC Phungcham under PM ABHIM on 18 October 2023 at Ukhrul district headquarters.

In a press release signed by headman of Phungcham, Wungnaongam Horam and Phungcham VDC chairman, Phokreingam Pheirei stated that “while expressing our heartfelt gratitude for the much needed facility, we also assure you that we will extend every possible help in fulfilling and in the completion of the said work.”

Phungcham is a village located north of Ukhrul in Ukhrul district, Manipur state, India. The village is approximately 28 kilometers from Ukhrul headquarters and has a population of more than 5000. Phungcham is flanked by Longpi and Lunghar in the east, Peh in the north, Ukhrul and Halang in the south and Talui in the west.
