PM Modi to visit Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura on October 27 & 28

Agartala: Ahead of the ensuing assembly polls in 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Arunachal Pradesh either on October 27 or 28 to campaign for the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as well as inaugurate a bunch of projects and schemes.

Responding to a query on PM Modi’s visit in Tripura, Chief Minister, Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday said “We have received information about the Prime Minister’s visit in the state. At first, he is scheduled to visit Arunachal Pradesh, then he will come here to Tripura on October 28. If Tripura is selected first then he will arrive on October 27 and then move to Arunachal Pradesh. The date is yet to be finalized.”

“During PM Modi’s visit in Tripura, he will inaugurate the event of ‘Griha Praves’ (Home Entry) in which lakhs of beneficiaries were benefited under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana. Apart from this, many foundation stones to be unveiled and inauguration of new projects, etc. will be initiated during his visit in the state. However, the list is yet to finalized”, Dr Saha said.

However, BJP sources did not share anything about his visit but there are plans to organize a political rally in view of his visit which will be officially blow the poll bugle. But the sources also confirmed that BJP national general secretary BL Santosh is arriving again in the state for a three-day political tour. As per the tentative schedule, he will reach Agartala on October 19 next a day after BJP National Spokesman and Coordinator for Northeast Sambit Patra is arriving.
