Guwahati: Three-day Pragjyotishpur Literary Festival 2023 is concluding today at Asom Sahitya Sabha bhawan and district library premises as the valedictory function is scheduled at 4.30 pm where eminent personalities like Samudra Gupta Kashyap, Diganta Biswa Sarma, Sudeshna Bhattacharjya etc will be present.

Organised by Sankardev Education and Research Foundation (SERF) with the theme ‘In Search of Roots’ for the first time, the national-level LitFest (Sept 29 to Oct 1) was launched with the lighting of sacred lamp by the festival committee president Phanindra Kumar Devchoudhury and National Book Trust chairman Milind Sudhakar Marathe in presence of Padma Shri awardee writer Lil Bahadur Chetri, popular television journalist Rubika Liyaquat, Konkani author Bhushan Bhave, JNU professor Anshu Joshi with many others.

The last day’s program includes a session on creative writing (where Atanu Bhattacharjya will be available as its resource person), an intriguing discussion on ‘Neo Vaishnavism of Bharata and Sankardev’ (which will be graced by Pitambar Devgoswami, Amalendu Chakrabarty and moderated by Purandar Barua), a multi-lingual poetry session (where Modar Jyoti, Dhiman Barman, Sourav Saikia, Joijeet Deka, Ganga Mohan Mili, Hang Miji Hanse, Sanjay Das will participate and it will be moderated by Aparajita Pujari), and an interaction with author Anuradha Sarma Pujari (to be interviewed by Nizara Hazarika).

Veteran author Nahendra Padun and promising writer Nayanjyoti Sarma will also be awarded in separate categories during the function.
