MK Preshow Shimray, intending candidate for 45-Chingai (ST) Assembly Constituency from Bharatya Janata Party on Monday conducted two events at Kharasom village, mass enrolment of Ayushmann Bharat PMJAY (health card) and one day political campaign.
The former deputy speaker, speaking at the enrolment said, “Prime minister Narendra Modi’s leadership at the center and chief minister N Biren Singh’s in Manipur state is focused on the welfare of the people. In line with this mission, several benefits, schemes for low income earners has been given. This national public health insurance that aims for free access to health insurance covers upto 5 lakh per family per year which will be accessible all over the country.”
He further expressed his gratitude to the Kharasom villagers and said, “I’m pleased to sponsor this enrolment at Kharasom (in the first Phase) and very grateful for the cooperation extended by the village. Special thanks to village headman, Village Authority, BJP unit leaders and karyakartas for their assistance.”
The day also marked a one day political campaign of Preshow Shimray held at Kharasom village, joined by H Luckmi president, Mahila Morcha 45-Chingai Mandal, S Themchuisang president, BJYM Chingai Mandal, Mahongam president, ST Morcha and strong party karyakartas, supporters of Kharasom BJP unit for the upcoming 2022 Manipur Legislative Assembly election.
Preshow was accorded a warm welcome by the Kharasom villagers for his visit and expressed their support for the upcoming 2022 election. Preshow in his speech, stressed upon the hardship faced by 45-Chingai A/C with elaborate explanation and indicated that to solve our hardships the Constituency needs the mandate of an able minister, not just a mere MLA.
The former deputy speaker in his speech also pledged and said if the villagers of Kharasom love and support him he will bring a drastic change for his people. Besides the one day political campaign, he also had positive interaction with the local party members and met individual and supporters in the village.
Preshow on October 5, in the continuation of Seva Aur Samarpan Abhiyan, launched in the celebration of the 71st birthday of prime minister, Narendra Modi to mark his 20 years in dedication of public service, visited an orphanage at Marem and distributed rice and other essential food items to the orphanage, ‘Our Home’ run by Gideon Kongreiwo with 15 orphans at present.
