Informing that priority will be given to those who had got the Covid-19 jab, H. Gyan Prashad, special secretary Home, government of Manipur had urged the general public of the state to get themselves vaccinated at the earliest.

State government will be relaxing the curfew orders in future in a calibrated manner by assessing the future, the official notice issued on Wednesday read.

Taking the public health safety in focus, it has been considered prudent to prioritise opening of institutions, organisations, factories, shops, market and private offices etc. where its employees and workers are vaccinated. This would also apply to NREGA job card holders and workers of government and private projects.

It may be pointed out that the Chairperson, state executive committee of the State Disaster Management Authority in exercise of the powers conferred under section 20 (2)(a) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 had issued orders dated 11/06/2021imposing curfew and restricting the activities to only few essential services in the districts of Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Thoubal, Kakching, Churachandpur and Ukhrul.
