R Lester Makang Elected as President of Ukhrul District Working Journalists’ Association

Ukhrul: The Ukhrul District Working Journalists’ Association (UDWJA) has elected R Lester Makang as the new President, and Mingyashin Shaiza as the Secretary for the term 2024 till 2027 on Tuesday.

Held at Viewland in Ukhrul headquarters, UDWJA members present shared a collective vision for the growth and future of the journalistic fraternity in the district in Tuesday’s general body meeting cum election where the President and Secretary were unanimously elected.

The UDWJA members in attendance expressed their collective vision for the future of journalistic fraternity in the district. With the new leadership, the UDWJA also aims to strengthen its initiatives and advocate for the interests of journalists in Ukhrul.
