Ravi Kumar Dahiya Settles for Silver in Tokyo Olympics Wrestling

Indian wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya clinched silver medal in the Tokyo Olympics final after losing to Russian Olympic Committee’s (ROC), Zavur Uguev 4-7 in Men’s Freestyle 57 kg category on Thursday.

Ravi Dahiya’s silver pushes India’s medal tally to Fifth (3 Bronze and 2 Silver) in the ongoing Tokoyo Olympics 2020.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to twitter and congratulated the Indian wrestler, “Ravi Kumar Dahiya is a remarkable wrestler! His fighting spirit and tenacity are outstanding. Congratulations to him for winning the Silver Medal at #Tokyo2020. India takes great pride in his accomplishments.”

Kiren Rijiju, Minister of Law and Justice also tweeted.
