In what is a good news for the villagers of Tusom CV and the populace of Ukhrul district, the district magistrate Ukhrul on Wednesday revoked the earlier containment order as all concerned Covid positive families have been tested and found negative.
It may be stated that DM Ukhrul had declared the whole village of Tusom CV under containment zone on July 28 in view of the rapid increase of Covid-19 and the impending pandemic in the village.
Nine villagers from Tusom CV in the north of Ukhrul district under 45-Chingai AC had tested Covid positive recently with none of the patient having any travel history.
According to DSO Ukhrul, eight tested Covid-19 positive while 11 patients were discharged on Wednesday taking the total active caseload to 82.
The cumulative fatalities reached 28 while cumulative positive stands at 947 with 556 male and 391 female in Ukhrul district.
