Referees Fitness Test and Refreshers Course Kicks Off in Chandel

Chandel, September 19: A two day Referees Fitness Test and Refreshers Course, commenced today in Chandel. The event was organized by the All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) and hosted by the District Sports Association (DSA) in Chandel, with a promise to enhance the skills of referees and match commissioners.

The inaugural ceremony took place at the Limkhu Inn Hotel’s conference hall, located in Japhou Bazar, Chandel. Notably, the distinguished Ex-FIFA Referee, M Magho Singh, was appointed as the instructor for this course, joined by three other seasoned match commissioners from AMFA-Tharchung Chara, Borlee Nungchim, and Wilpelngam Nula to assist in the training.

The practical training sessions are scheduled to be held at the Liwa Sarei Village ground starting tomorrow. The opening ceremony witnessed the presence of esteemed individuals, including: TS Chamna Anal, President of DSA Chandel, Lovingson Anal, Vice President of DSA Chandel Th Albert Chothe, Vice President of DSA Chandel, Dr Th Joyson M Monsang, General Secretary of DSA Chandel, Ng Beling Moyon, Assistant General Secretary of DSA Chandel, Joyshing Monsang, Assistant General Secretary of DSA CDL.

An impressive total of 30 referees, including six female referees, are participating in the comprehensive Fitness Test and Refreshers Course.

TS Chamna Anal, President of DSA CDL, expressed his gratitude towards AMFA for their consistent support in developing football in the Chandel District and to M Magho Singh for his dedication.

“I am truly grateful to AMFA for their unwavering support in developing football in the Chandel District. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to M Magho Singh for sparing no effort, despite the challenging circumstances, to come all the way to Chandel and impart valuable training to our aspiring referees. I encourage all referees to remain dedicated and work diligently to become future professional referees, said he.
