UKRHUL: Two men were arrested for allegedly stalking, molesting and racially harassing a 25-year-old resident doctor from Nagaland working at AIIMS, Gorakhpur.
Police stated that the incident occurred on Sunday while the victim was returning from Orion Mall. A case was registered on Monday, and subsequent examination of CCTV footage revealed that three men on a motorcycle had followed her for nearly 1.5 km. The accused allegedly made lewd comments and continued to subject the victim to verbal abuse.

According to police, of the three men involved, Suraj Gupta (22) and Amrit Vishwakarma (21) have been arrested, while the third accused is still being traced.
The National Federation of Resident Doctors of All AIIMS & INIs, in a letter addressed to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, strongly condemned the incident. “As a dedicated resident serving patients with utmost dignity at AIIMS Gorakhpur, she was violated near her place of work. This highlights the persistent challenges faced by women from the North East regarding racial and gender-based safety,” the letter stated.
